AMD Bulldozer:

  • Bulldozer is AMD’s 2011 microarchitecture belonging to the Family 15h.
  • Uses a “module” design that pairs two integer cores sharing a FPU and L2 cache.
  • Later revisions and refinements are named Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.
  • Process node: 32 nm SOI (GlobalFoundries)
  • Released October 12, 2011, it is — successor to AMD’s K10 microarchitecture
